The Norwegian-Petroleum Safety Authority has granted consent to the E&P giant, Equinor (formerly Statoil) for commencing exploration in Ragnfrid Nord prospect, in the Norwegian Sea. Drilling operation to find oil in the prospect will begin in early June 2018 and is projected to last for 81 days. The prospect will be drilled by the West Phoenix drilling rig.
