Norwegian oil giant, Equinor has awarded Alcatel Submarine Networks with a contract for permanent reservoir monitoring (PRM). PRM refers to permanent installation of seismic sensors on the seabed, providing better images of reservoir changes frequently. The PRM project management will be shared between Johan Castberg and Johan Sverdrup, leading to both synergies and savings. Nexans Norway will act as a subcontractor to Alcatel on the Johan Castberg PRM project.
