American multinational, Kosmos Energy signed a cash-and-stock deal to acquire Deep Gulf Energy in USD 1.225 billion. With this acquisition, Kosmos will add an already established business to its portfolio in deepwater Atlantic Margin. 25,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed) will be added to Kosmos existing production value. Its total 2P reserves will be up by 40% to approximately 280 MMboe.
