Oil prices jump over tensions in the Gulf

Oil climbed in the international market on Thursday, rising over growing tensions in the Middle East, production cuts by OPEC nations to combat oversupply and the promise of more government stimulus to tackle coronavirus pandemic. Brent crude was traded 7.8% higher, at $21.97 per barrel. U.S. WTI crude rose 12.6%, at $15.52 a barrel. President Trump yesterday instructed the US Navy to charge on any Iranian ships that harass it in the Gulf.
