Oil prices rise over hopes of production cuts

Oil prices climbed in the international market on Thursday, rising over hopes of the potential decision of production cut by OPEC on Thursday. Brent crude was traded 2% higher, at $33.49 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude edged up 3%, to $25.85 a barrel. A video conference is scheduled between the oil and energy ministers of OPEC and allies on Thursday.
