BHEL to start end-to-end solar equipment manufacturing, seeks consultants

State owned BHEL Limited plans to make complete solar equipment in India, encouraged by the government’s plan to push local manufacturing through incentives under the Atmanirbhar Bharat scheme. The company plans to have a complete BHEL recently came out with a tender to hire consultants for preparing the ‘detailed project report (DPR)’ for its solar manufacturing project.

Rooftop solar expected to add 475-MW capacity in Q1 2021

The rooftop solar market is expected to pick up pace in the first quarter (Q1) of 2021 and is estimated to add 475 megawatt (MW) capacity in this period, according to a recent report by renewable energy consultancy firm Bridge to India. It added that Coronavirus-induced hardships persisted in Q4 2020 and had pulled down the installation numbers.

EIL to provide PMC services to Mongolian Refinery

In a statement given yesterday, Indian EPC major, Engineers India Ltd (EIL) informed about signing an agreement to deliver project management consultancy (PMC) services for the new 1.5 million tonne refinery being established in Mongolia. EIL inked the deal with Mongol Refinery State Owned LLC. The state-run EPC firm had previously performed a Detailed Feasibility Study for the project.

Aqualis acquires Braemer Technical

Aqualis ASA has inked an agreement for the acquisition of offshore, adjusting and marine business lines from Braemar Shipping Services Plc. The merged entity, to be branded as AqualisBraemar ASA, will serve as a leading offshore, adjusting, marine and renewables consultancy, delivering broadened services. AqualisBraemar will operate through four divisions, catering to markets of Offshore, Marine, Adjusting and Renewables.
