Industry's major service firm, TechnipFMC has decided to split the company into two separate business entities. The separation is expected to be completed in the first half of 2020. Chief Executive of Technip said, "We are confident that the separation will allow both businesses to thrive independently within their sectors, enabling each to unlock significant additional value”. Also, it will “enable the two companies to unlock additional value”.
If sources were to be believed, the new Indian industrial policy which is to be released soon, will replace the 1991 policy, focusing on the use of big data and promotion of digital ports. The policy has been designed to further establish robust international linkages by strengthening India’s global exports. The idea is to integrate the Indian market with the global market by removing the existing barriers.
