Honeywell buys out Rebellion Photonics

American conglomerate, Honeywell has purchased Rebellion Photonics, a Houston-based provider of innovative, intelligent, visual gas monitoring solutions. Rebellion Photonics’ real-time monitoring platform allows plant operators to visually identify and quantify gas releases. Rebellion will become acquired into Honeywell’s Safety and Productivity Solutions business, which offers an array of gas detection technologies, safety gear, mobility solutions and software to ensure worker's safety and productivity.

HoneywellUOP to provide technology for propylene production in Vietnam

Leading technology provider, HoneywellUOP has announced the award of work for propylene production in Vietnam. Phu My Plastics Production JSC will deploy Honeywell’s C3 Oleflex™ technology for manufacturing polymer-grade propylene at its facility in the country. The proprietary C3 Oleflex technology converts propane to propylene through catalytic dehydrogenation. This award is first in line for Honeywell’s propane dehydrogenation technology in Vietnam.

SOCAR to deploy Honeywell’s PSA Technology

Technology giant, Honeywell informed that Azerbaijani state-owned SOCAR will deploy Honeywell UOP’s Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology at its Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery (HAOR). Honeywell’s technology will enable Azerbaijan to meet the rising demand for Euro V standard transportation fuels. As part of modernising the HAOR plant, HoneywellUOP will supply two PSA units, controlled by Honeywell Process Solutions C300 distributed control systems.

Sonatrach to deploy HoneywellUOP’s tech in Algerian refinery

Algerian state-owned, Sonatrach will utilise Honeywell’s technology suite at refinery in Arzew, Algeria to produce 200,000 metric tpy of MTBE. Technology giant, Honeywell will deliver technology licensing, design services, key equipment and state-of-the-art catalysts and adsorbents for the project. The technology suite also includes UOP’s Butamer™, UOP C4 Oleflex™, and UOP Ethermax™.

New Jersey-based Honeywell has revealed new cybersecurity consulting services, the Honeywell CyberVantage™ Security Consulting, which now includes Penetration Testing. CyberVantage aims at lowering the risk and possible impact of security incidents for organizations and improve their industrial cybersecurity maturity levels. The Penetration Testing service provides active “white-hat” hackers who take advantage of customer defenses in order to fix them.

Honeywell UOP acquires specialized technologies developer

Honeywell UOP acquired specialized technologies developer, Ortloff Engineers, Ltd in an undisclosed amount. Ortloff will be assimilated in Honeywell UOP's Gas Processing and Hydrogen business. The entity will bring the industry's most advanced expertise in the recovery of high-value natural gas liquids (NGLs). Honeywell UOP and Ortloff share a strong and close association of 16 years.

Fuji Oil deploys new Honeywell UOP catalyst

Japanese refiner, Fuji Oil has started using the new R-364 Platforming™ catalyst for the production of more aromatics at Sodegaura Refinery in Japan. The high-activity catalyst, developed by Honeywell UOP, has been designed to boost the production of a CCR Platforming unit by almost 10%. Fuji Oil and other refiners in Japan have moved on to manufacturing higher value aromatics, which have a greater value than motor fuels.
