Singapore’s state investor Temasek Holdings-backed Sembcorp Industries is “back in the game” in India and aims to grow its portfolio organically and through acquisitions, Vipul Tuli, chief executive officer of South Asia at Sembcorp Industries told ET in an exclusive interview. The group is scouting for acquisition opportunities and is also exploring options for monetisation of its existing operational assets.
Sembcorp Marine has landed an exclusive FPSO FEED contract from Siccar Point Energy for its Cambo field development on the UK Continental Shelf. The contract will require Sembcorp to carry out the design of a Sevan cylindrical FPSO. Sembcorp Marine has hired KBR for the design of topsides and integration support, with work being carried out in Singapore and Norway.
According to an announcement, the FSO Ailsa will sail for the Culzean field in the UK North Sea next month. Sembcorp Marine has completed FSO Ailsa, world’s first Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessel with a 40-year hull lifespan. It is also the company’s floating storage and offloading newbuild project which was constructed over 22 months.
