Digitisation of Russian oil industry projected in billions

Moscow-based Vygon Consulting has assessed the digitization of Russia’s oil industry to budget around $380 billion by 2035. The company said that in order to make the digital switchover, companies would have to spend about 5% of their entire CAPEX budget on cutting-edge digital technology. Presently, Shell controls all of its wells online and in real time, with BP catching up with its own digital transformation.
