Oil prices continued its downward journey in the international market on Tuesday, as concerns of economic slowdown deepened due to the spread of coronavirus in China. Brent crude fell 0.6%, to $58.95 a barrel. WTI crude futures dipped 0.6%, at $52.8 a barrel. Fear has prevailed amongst investors that the spread of coronavirus in China will dampen the demand for crude and its products.
