With the objective of providing new production from old wells , the new jack up rig of Statoil ‘Askeladden’ commenced drilling at Gullfaks field on the 26th of March, 2018. The rig has been brought to carry out production and exploration drilling on Gullfaks Satellites and to create new value with enhanced safety prospects.
