If sources were to be believed, the new Indian industrial policy which is to be released soon, will replace the 1991 policy, focusing on the use of big data and promotion of digital ports. The policy has been designed to further establish robust international linkages by strengthening India’s global exports. The idea is to integrate the Indian market with the global market by removing the existing barriers.
After Skolkovo Institute, Russian-Gazprom NEFT has now reached an agreement with tech giant IBM for the development of new technologies in onshore oil production. The new technology will be used to boost the efficiency of geological exploration and production of onshore reserves. The expanded cooperation is within the framework of an agreement made on strategic cooperation between Gazprom and IBM during this year’s St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Chiyoda Corporation, the Japanese engineering major, has concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company Limited (ADNOC LNG) to provide state-of-the-art digital technologies, including artificial intelligence and big data analytics, on ADNOC LNG’s facilities. Chiyoda is striving to achieve the objective of ‘technology and business innovation (developing a new business model for a digital society)’.
