An agreement for a 5,660 km gas pipeline, spanning across several African nations, has been signed to deliver gas between Nigeria and Morocco. The pipeline construction is projected for completion in 25 years. Morocco and Nigeria approved launching of a front-end engineering design (FEED) to involve transit countries in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). The pipeline is expected to reduce Africa’s gas flaring and encourage energy diversity.
