The Permian Basin has hit record gas production this year owing to a relentless surge which seems to be coming in conflict with market and infrastructure constraints. The S&P Global Platts Analytics reveal that the addition of 60 rigs since mid-October has bolstered the dry gas production there by about 20%. However, emerging demand and pipeline capacity constraints can pose grave challenges.
