Trump administration has repudiated any import waivers to India from US sanctions over Iran. An anonymous official in the administration confirmed about asking China and India to reduce their import from Iran to zero. Given the huge energy needs, India and China import a huge amount of Iranian oil to fulfill their fuel demands. Iran’s crude supply to India during April 2017 and January 2018 was 18.4 million tonnes.
